Couldnt be happier.
I purchased this used Mi Mix 2 and have used it one week. Even being used, it made me realize how badly I needed an upgrade from my 2016 also-great phone, the Axon 7 by ZTE. I gradually got used to my dying battery, loose power port in bottom of phone, and worsening cell reception, so I was blown away with this new phone. The battery lasts all day and beyond and I've literally had it unlocked and in use almost the whole day. And this is with a used phone, too. The display is fantastic and I'm not stressed at all about it not being oled like I thought I might. The size and aspect ratio is perfect. I especially like the display using full screen mode (no software buttons, just swipe gestures). The sound is a single loud-enough speaker on bottom. I had great front facing stereo on my last ... I had great front facing stereo on my last phone so I had to get over that adjustment. If you require fantastic stereo or extra loud speaker(s), then maybe you won't want this phone. My connection went from constantly struggling to stay on basic 4g in my area to having lte+ basically everywhere I go 24/7. WiFi has strong 2.4 or 5ghz everytime I use it. Bluetooth has worked without drops on headphones, mouse, and car system. There is no headphones port but it comes with a usb-c to headphone jack converter dongle. The camera is a single lens and takes pretty good, fairly saturated/colorful photos. Nothing special in low light. It's way better than my 2016 Axon 7 though. I've heard it's not quite as good as the ultra expensive leading phones but not so bad to dismiss either. Software wise, it has tons of features I really like. I still haven't finished messing with all the new things I wasn't aware existed. My only complaints are the launcher (home screen) just doesn't feel modern and easy to use enough. I recommend replacing with Google now launcher, Lawnchair launcher, or Nova launcher. The second and only other software complaint is instead of just Google bloatware, you have Google AND xiaomi bloatware, often for similar services (two backup services, to music players, etc...). I said no to all the backup services and accounts then googled how to disable the apps I knew I could safetly disable and make disappear. After those two adjustments, I'm really happy with the phone style and software feature wise. To summarize, the best thing about the phone so far is the price (and I got the cheapest functional used one on eBay), the display quality, size, aspect ratio, and round corners, the super long battery life, and the raw power from the 6gb of ram and very good processor. It never stutters. The worst things are having both xiaomi AND Google bloatware to disable, boring medium loudness bottom facing mono speaker, and having to switch the launcher app (homescreen ap)p and that's all I can think of right now.
